Wood-fired
This vase was Shino glazed, then sprinkled with Oak ash, fluxes,
and colorants, before being side-fired on shells for 15 days in
a firing fueled with Cottonwood. The range of colors favors pinks,
mauves, celedons, aqumarines, teals, blues, blue-grays, and near-black.
Textures range from glassy to dry-ash-encrusted.
