about this piece:
"Teabowl/Chawan," #00-117
7/5 cm x 11 cm x 10 cm
Wood-fired
This bowl was fired, not on its foot, but on a tripod which
held the bowl in a "leaning-forward" posture during the firing.
The outside reveals an entire landscape of natural ash accumulation.
The inside has a huge puddle/pool of translucent green glaze in
the "corner" of the bottom interior - a wonderful contrast to
the color of the tea. Fired for 15 days with Cottonwood fuel.
