Rope-textured, lobed, and expanded tea bowl, #2827: $125

This lobed bowl measures 3 inches in height and is 5 inches in diameter.

The bowl was thrown as a thick-walled narrow cylinder. Rope texture was added. The bowl was expanded from the interior. "Push-outs" were made on 6 "sides".....then the form was creased 6 times with a wooden rib.

This piece was wood-fired for three days with Oak and Chinese Elm. The exterior is an all-natural accumulation of natural ash.

Lovely for all sorts of tea occasions....and very affordable.
